Dear Friend,

Two weeks each year, we provide a safe, peaceful place for up to 30 women to experience God's grace and love in a retreat center setting. These women often "do time" right along with their incarcerated loved ones. It is important for them to know that they are not alone and that there is a Christian Community that care.

To be able to provide this weekend, we need support and participation -

1. Through your prayers.
2. Your presence.Serving as a Day Angel Serving as a Team Member Attending a Closing ceremony

DOC Training

 Peace and Blessing to you all, very timely thought in this devotional.

Please remember & share we will hold a group DOC certification session at Woodlawn Baptist 5805 Jones Creek Saturday 01/21/23 09:00-13:00 allowing time to fellowship & clean up before & after. We all have to complete the DOC to be eligible to serve inside an institution.

Reminder of John Brown's Services- From Steve Carleton

 Brothers & Sisters: A quick reminder that the memorial service for our brother John Brown is tomorrow—this Sunday January 8th at 9:00 am at Holy Cross Anglican Church at 630 Richland Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.

It would be nice if as many of his Kairos brothers & sisters as possible could attend. Please spread the word to others not in this group.

Weekends for Prayer January 3, 2023 - January 9, 2023 - Time to Celebrate - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 We have (1) Weekend and (2) Training Events for prayer this week. Please see the attached list.

Join us in prayer.

 

 

We pray for Kairos as we reopen locations and for the opportunities to serve as God provides. We pray for the men, women, and youth facilities, the workers, the incarcerated and their families. We pray the Kairos Graduates and Guests are living their lives for Jesus daily. We pray for unity in the body of Christ as we love and respect one another regardless of our differences. We pray for Kairos and our wonderful volunteers. And for each of us to be focusing on Jesus Christ and recognize we are His body as His people.

 

Please join us for prayer daily at 8:00 AM, Noon, and 8:00 PM. We have placed a Prayer Request section on the www.mykairos.org home page. Feel free to use this for your prayer needs.
